Who are Trak Met UK?
Trak Met UK are a licensed distributor for Trak Met EU, a leading supplier of sawmill equipment throughout Europe for over 25 years.
Can I arrange a visit?
Yes, we operate a well-established sawmill in the Scottish Borders, as well a bespoke timber construction business.
We currently have 3 Trak Met saws, all available for you to view in operation. We would be delighted to show you around and discuss how Trak Met can support your business.

How do I request a quote?
As all of our machines are built to order, it’s best to contact us to discuss your requirements. We can tailor a package to suit your needs.
You can fill in the contact form on the relevant product page, or contact us via phone / email.
Can you provide bespoke set-up?
Yes, each of our machines are built to order, and we can tailor a package that suits your requirements. The machines can be supplied with many optional extras, including:
- Bed extensions
- Hydraulic log handling
- Power upgrades (electric / petrol)
- Mobile chassis for towing
- Log handing / sorting equipment
This ensures you get exactly the machine that you need.
How long is a quotation valid for?
Due to fluctuations in material prices and shipping costs, our quotes are generally valid for 3 months from time of issue.
Is finance available?
Yes, we offer finance through our finance partner, Nordcom Finance. Please contact us for further details, or speak to Nordcom directly:

Can I apply for a grant?
Many timber processors are eligible for UK grant funding schemes.
At Trak Met, we regularly supply sawmill equipment that qualifies under forestry grants, timber processing grants and farming and rural business grants.
Please contact your local government agency or land agent for further details.
What happens once my order is placed?
Once your order is confirmed, we will issue you with an invoice for a deposit payment to commence the manufacturing process.
Prior to commencement, we will prepare a schematic drawing of your machine for review and approval.
Once the deposit has been received, will will issue you with a confirmation note from Trak Met EU, confirming production of your machinery.
An invoice for the balance will be due prior to delivery.

Where do you deliver?
We can deliver nationwide, across the UK.
Do you offer installation?
Yes, our costs will include delivery to site, installation, set-up and machine calibration.

What warranty is provided?
Yes, we provide a 12 month parts warranty (excluding wear and tear) across all machines. Trak Met technicians are available for support queries Mon – Friday 08:00 – 16:00.
Are spare parts available?
Yes, we offer a comprehensive list of consumables and blades. We can also supply machinery spares from stock, or direct from Trak Met EU.
Do you offer training?
Yes, a full-day, on-site training session is provided free-of-charge with the purchase of all new machines, covering principles of operation, maintenance and operator safety.
This can be delivered at time of machine set-up or take place at your yard if it’s not convenient to commission the machine upon delivery.
Additional training / refresher sessions can be booked independently as required.
Do you sell second hand machines?
Yes, we offer a free listing service for existing customers who are upgrading their equipment.
These machines are sold directly by their owners, and we are not affiliated with or responsible for the sale. All details listed are provided by the seller and buyers should satisfy themselves as to the condition, specification and suitability of any equipment.
