Trak Met UK is a licensed distributor for Trak Met Sawmills – a leading manufacturer of band saws and sawmill equipment across Europe.
Our relationship with Trak Met machinery is founded on decades of experience of timber processing, and the rigours of operating a commercial sawmill.
Our story starts over 20 years ago, when our founding team turned a passion for timber into a thriving construction business and began crafting hand-made log homes in forests of Canada. With a number of impressive log builds under their belt, the team moved back to the Scottish Borders where, Caledonia Log Homes was born.
Log building demands exacting standards and equipment which is capable of handling high-value logs with precision and accuracy. Bespoke timber milling is combined with processing of traditional timber cladding and beams for use throughout the build.
As our customer base expanded and demand increased, our team needed equipment that could match their pace and standards. We discovered Trak Met sawmills and the difference was immediately clear.
Trak Met machines offered a level of quality, reliability and performance that exceeded our expectations.
